(News) Reports are brewing on the net saying rapper Heavy D has passed away.

Legendary DJ Grandmaster Flash just tweeted about an hour ago: "I was just told Heavy D passed away". I'm hoping this isn't true but by the looks of it it is. R.I.P. Heavy D. Heavy D was definitely one of my favorites growing .
*UPDATE* GlobalGrind.com has confirmed "We are told he died in a Los Angeles hospital at 1pm today after being rushed there at 12pm. He recently returned from an overseas trip where he caught pneumonia.
